As an independent production company Galaxy Productions (founded in 2004)
produces and co-produces video production for all levels of the local and international markets. We are located and based on the lovely island of Grand Bahama in the Bahamas. Our Galaxy is comprised of some 700 islands perfectly placed under the sun. With pristine waters and clean beaches we boast that "This is the country where God lives." As portrayed in blockbuster films, the Bahamas allows cinematographers to capture images under the perfect light of a Golden Hour like no other in the world.
Our trademark is the production of challenging and unique films, commercials and music videos second to none. Recently our crews have worked on “James Bond, Casino Royale (2005)”, "Pirates of the Caribbean 1, 2 & 3" (2005-2006), “Zeus and Roxanne" (1997), Music Videos for Alicia Keys (2014), Ava Symone (2013-2014), Flo Rida (2012,2013), Rick Ross and Luke James (2014) to name a few. Commercials: Seagrams Gin (2014), Life is Grand (2015) – Grand Bahama (All Aerials). Additionally we worked for networks including Bravo, Bet Jazz , NBC Universal, Panasonic, NBC, E Network, Home Shopping Network and Fox Sports.
Our company is powered by the hard work and creativitiy embodied by over 120 years of combined experience in the film, marketing, entertainment and logistics businesses. We pride ourselves on staying informed and knowledgable of the latest equipment, technology and techniques. Our operators and DPs are proficient with everything from RED Cameras, Nikon, Canon DSLRs, aerial drones, stabilizers, Go Pros, Underwater Housings, Cranes, Dollies and so much more.
In the Galaxy Productions arsenal we posses Red Epic Dragon, Red Scarlett, (1) Canon 5D Mark II, (2) Canon 5D Mark III, (1) Canon 7D (2) DJI Phantom 2s with Zenmuse 3d Gimbal, DJI Ronin stabilizer, (5) Go Pros, RED & DSLR Underwater Housings, Cranes, Dollies and a Three ton Grip Truck. We provide epertise in every service neccessary to service a robust production of a commercial, music video, movie, PSA or instructional video.
Alongside the owner of the company Cornelius Mckinney (Producer, C.E.O., Director), our core team consists of Edward “Barry” Barrett II (Executive Producer, Creative Producer, Logistics Manager), Chinedu “Mr. Chin” Ernesto (Director of Photography Udenihc Media), Robert “Jock” Hall (Digital Imaging Technician D.I.T), Pamela Hall (Production Manager), Reginald Farrington (Art Director / Property Master) and alternating freelancers. In all legal matters we co-operate with the Freeport-based law firm Mcintosh & CO.
